The most expansive collection of Robert Duncan Milne’s works ever published.

Have you ever heard of Robert Duncan Milne?

Milne was one of the most imaginative and groundbreaking writers of science fiction in history. He was almost certainly the first person to ever make a career out of writing science fiction. And yet, almost no one has heard of him.

Why? Robert Duncan Milne only published his nearly one-hundred works of speculative fiction in the disposable newspapers of nineteenth century San Francisco. His scandalous personal life and his sudden, tragic end at the hands of a street car also worked to deny him his rightful place in literary history.

For 126 years, Milne’s works have been lost to the general public. I have been working for nine years with Dr. Keith Williams at the University of Dundee to bring many of these stories into the public consciousness for the very first time.

 FAQs

  • I sadly do not set the price; it is set by the publisher. As an academic hardback, it is priced primarily for institutions like university libraries. I completely understand this makes individual purchases cost-prohibitive. My dearest hope is that the book sells well enough to convince them to come out with a more affordable paperback version!

  • The best way to access the book is to request it through your local library, university, or other institution. Many libraries are happy to order academic titles upon request at no personal cost to you. I sincerely hope you will try this out for yourself!
